The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, March 4, 2003 Audrey McDonald Wariner, visitation will be Tuesday, March 4, 2003 from 5-7:30pm and funeral service will be held at Chapel of the Chimes on Wednesday, March 5 at 10am; graveside services to follow. Interment at Resthaven Cemetery in Glendale. Her passing was Friday at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was 85. Mrs. Wariner was born March 28, 1918 in Prague, Oklahoma, to Minnie Mae and Martin D. McDonald, subsequently raised by Martin and Ola Clifford McDonald. Her family farmed in Glendale from the mid 1920's until 1956 and were Charter Members of the First Southern Baptist Church of Glendale, which is celebrating its founding this week. Audrey attended school at Cartwright Elementary School and Glendale High School, where she was graduated in 1936. She also attended business college in Phoenix. She married Sandford L. Wariner in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by three children; Dean of Hana, Hawaii; Dixie Styles of Culver City, California; Dan of West Valley City, Utah; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Lois McDonald Tibbett of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and Marilyn McDonald Rolland of Carefree, Arizona. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
