JOHNSON, Mary Anne

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, March 5, 2003 Mary Anne Carey Johnson, only child born of Eben J. Carey, MD and Helene Carey in Chicago, IL, on August 10, 1921. She was born into eternal life on March 2, 2003. Mary Anne was brought up in Milwaukee, WI, educated at Marquette and University Minnesota. She was a charter member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, Phoenix, served on the church staff for many years as an administrative assistant for Pastor Kenneth Larkin and as a faithful servant in the church in various local and synodical positions. She was a member of the Phoenix Power Squadron boating and sailing for 30 years. Her love for the Lord was shown through out her life. Survivors include her husband; Clare and sons; Steven and David. Memorial service to be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1500 West Maryland in Phoenix on March 6, 2003 at 1:00 PM with internment at Prayer and Memorial Garden of the Church.
