MCALISTER, Jamie

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, March 5, 2003 Jamie McAlister, 54, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on Feb. 26, 2003. Born in Shelley, ID on Feb. 12, 1949, she moved to Arizona 12 years ago from Albuquerque, NM. She was a Criminal Defense Attorney and had worked for Meyer, Hendricks, Victor Osborn & Maledon, and the Maricopa County Public Defender; then solo practice. She was a former minister and pastored several churches throughout the country. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and a member of the State Bar of Arizona. She is survived by her partner, Nancy McAlister; daughter, Amanda; son, Andrew; mother, Joyce Hendrickson; father, Carl James; sister, Carolyn Gianinni; brothers, Brent, Alan, Blair and Greg James. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat., March 8, 2003, at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 2310 N. 56th St., Phoenix. Arangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
