Margaret Mary McAndrew Williams, age 82, passed away May 29, 2003 in Glendale, AZ. Margaret was born and raised in County Mayo, Ireland, and moved as a young woman to London where she worked in the bomb factories and survived the London Blitz during WWII. She met & married Calvin C. Williams who was a member of the 101st Airborne Division in London, and their first child was born in Herefordshire, England. The family moved to the U.S.A. in 1947, and Margaret became a U.S. Citizen, and a resident of Arizona in 1952. She was an active member of the St. Raphael Women's Guild. Preceded in death by her beloved son, Anthony Michael Williams in 1957, she is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Philip) Boynton; sons, Errol, Kevin & Timothy (Susan) Williams; sister, Annie (Thomas) Doherty in Ireland; brother, John (Tess) McAndrew in England; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation at 5:00 PM, Rosary at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Chapel of the Chimes, Glendale, AZ. Funeral Mass, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at St. Raphael Church, 5525 W. Acoma Rd., Glendale, AZ. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale, AZ. Published in the Arizona Republic from 5/31/2003 - 6/1/2003.
