Amy A. Winkle, 84, of Glendale, AZ, passed away suddenly on May 29, 2003. She was born in Nebraska City, NE on Oct. 6, 1918, where she lived with her parents & two brothers. Amy met Carl - Winkle in Ft. Worth, TX at a U.S.O. dance during WWII, and they married in 1943. Amy & Carl lived in St. Louis until 1964 when they moved to Arizona.
She was a piano teacher for over 30 years and was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family & friends. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Carl.
She is survived by her children, Judy Winkle of Glendale, AZ., Sally Winkle of Spokane, WA., & Susan Glasgow of Brawley, CA; and grandchildren, Ginger & Kelly Glasgow, Emmet Winkle Stackelberg. Brothers, William Thurman & Robert Thurman.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3104 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85051. Her family suggests contributions be made in her name to the church or charity of choice. Arrangements by Chapel of the Chimes, Glendale, AZ.
