MEDAL, Peter

Peter Medal, 63, of Tempe AZ, was called home by God, after a very long illness, on June 20, 2002. 

Born in Manugua, Nicaragua June 29, 1938, Peter moved to the valley in 1978 from N.Y. with his wife Barbara and sons Thomas, Stephen, Peter Jr., and Paul. 

Peter is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Jennifer, Thomas Jr., Paul Jr., & Bailee along with 5 sisters;  Marta Sanborn of Chandler, Ana Maria Siounis of NY, Melita Martin of South Carolina, Rita Batista  of South Carolina, Yinda Medal of California and brother Joseph Medal of N.J. and many nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society.  Visitation at Tempe Mortuary, 406 E. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ. June 24, 2002.  Funeral Mass on June 25, 2002 at Resurrection Church 3201 S. Evergreen, Tempe, AZ.  Burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ immediately following services.
