Lola I.
Rev. Lola I. Barnes was born Sept. 6, 1910 in Pocotello, Idaho. She was the founder and pastor of The Church of All Nations at 5005 S. 7th Street in Phoenix, Az. She pastored the church for many years until ill health caused her to restrict her duties significantly.
Rev. Barnes was a great inspiration to many people who were fortunate enough to benefit from her influence. She was truly a shepherd to her flock. Rev. Barnes graduated from ASU in 1958 with a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in education. She taught Special Education at Faith North School in the Phx. Elementary #1 School District for many years until her retirement in 1990. Rev. Barnes was a member of Phoenix Elementary Classroom Teacher Association, Arizona Education Association, National Education Association and the Association of University Women.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Pearl and Mable, and a brother James. She is survived by a nephew James Nabors and a host of friends and loved ones. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Sun Health Hospice, 12740 N. Plaza Del Rio Blvd. Peoria, Az. 85381, Private services will be held.
