DUCHARME, William F.


William F. Ducharme, 85, of Phoenix AZ, peacefully joined our Lord June 20, 2002. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, William F. Ducharme was born in Somerville Mass. in 1917. "Dutch", as he was called, joined the Army Medical Service in 1940 and was in the Americal Division, serving in the Pacific Theater immediately after Pearl Harbor and Guadalcanel and Solomon Islands. He became a Captain and remained in the Officers Reserve Corps. Dutch was then recalled in the Korean situation, where he purchased medical supplies for the US Army in NY City. After retirement he was with Cutter Laboratories for 30 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. "Dutch" Ducharme is survived by his loving wife Virginia. Daughter Lyn West and husband Cecil. Daughter Micki Barker. Grandchildren, Bonnie and JJ Barker. Tom Cupples and wife Denie and great grandchildren Madison and Taylor Cupples. Visitation Monday, June 24, 2002 and Funeral Services Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, AZ; Interment will follow at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ.
