DUNSMORE, Mary E.


Mary E. Dunsmore died on June 19, 2002 at her home. She had lived in the area since 1942. Mary graduated from ASU. During her lifetime she taught school, worked for Valley National Bank, the State of Arizona and for the US Postal Service. Mary claimed not to have a career, but she was a servant of the Lord. She faithfully attended the First Baptist Church of Phoenix. Mary cared for all she met. She was known as a "Prayer Warrior". She was responsible for organizing the Block Watch in her neighborhood. Mary's gentle spirit and kindness will be missed by all. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Cora T. Dunsmore and Fred Dunsmore Sr. as well as her brother Fred A. Dunsmore. Her sister-in-law, Patricia Dunsmore, nieces Ann L. Dunsmore, Mary Kay Ponder (Steve) and nephew Bob Dunsmore (Kathy) and 5 grand nieces and grand nephews survive her. Services Monday June 24, 2002 at the First Baptist Church of Phoenix, located at 7000 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. Donations in her name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Phoenix or Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Arrangements by Messinger Mortuary & Chapel 7601 E.
