JENSEN, Carl E.K.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 26, 2003 Carl E.K. Jensen, 73, passed away, Sunday, February 23, 2003. Carl was born June 5, 1929 in Denmark and received a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Copenhagen. He married his wife, Gerda Marie Petersen on July 10, 1954 and together they immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1956 and became citizens in 1963. His daughter Lena was born in 1966. Carl was employed as an electrical and systems engineer for approximately 35 years for General Electric, Honeywell and Bull. Carl was also a founder of and active in The Danish Club of Phoenix. Carl was a gentle, humorous and loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to have a good time with his family and dear friends. Carl is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Gerda; brother, Erland; daughter Lena; his son -in-law, Troy and baby granddaughter, Jade Marie. He will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at 1PM, Friday, February 28, 2003, Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Heart Association.
