The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 26, 2003 Robert W. McCauley, 89, formerly of Sun City West, passed away February 23, 2003. He was a retired superintendent of the U.S. Postal Service. He was formerly active in our Lady of Lourdes Mens Club, St. Vincent De Paul's Society, Knight of the Alter, Eucharistic Minister, member Sun Dome Lions Club, and 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Ellen and daughter Mary Ellen. He is survived by his wife Betty Leigh; sons Robert V. (Sharon); Francis A.; Timothy J. (Shandra); daughters Elizabeth (Shari); Ann (John) Cronnin; and Therese Ham; brother Ken of Staten Island, N.Y., 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2003 at Sunwest Funeral Home, 12473 Grand Ave., El Mirage from 3 to 5 PM with rosary service at 4 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10 AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 12738 Marble Dr., Sun City West.
