Cyril Joseph Statt (Cy), 82, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003 at the Gardner Home.
The PATRIARCH is survived by Jane, his wife of 60 years, 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Cy graduated from Central Radio & Technical Institute in Kansas City, MO in 1940. Subsequently, he spent 33 years at General Electric Co. in various positions in Senior Management.
Upon his early retirement from G.E. he worked as a private consultant and ended his career as a member of the Board of Directors at Amdahl Federal Services Corporation. He and Jane were members of St. Louis the King Parish for 23 years where they taught marriage preparation courses and were active members of the choir.
He also taught Junior Achievement classes at SS. Simon and Jude for many years. His family was his life. He taught us how to give, forgive and always see the good in everyone. We will continue to celebrate his life, his faith and his laughter.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 P.M., Thursday, Feb. 27 at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
The Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, Feb. 28 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Louis the King Catholic Church, 4331 W. Maryland Ave.
Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Avondale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Life Choices Women's Clinic, 9303 N. 7th Street, #4, Phoenix, AZ 85020-2417.
