The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 27, 2003 Owen B. Comstock, 28, died on Sunday February 23, 2003, in Palm Springs, California, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Owen, a teacher at Desert Foothills Middle School, is survived by his wife Denise, his parents, Stephen and Dixie Comstock, and his sister Caitlin. He is also survived by his grandparents, Judge and Virginia Plummer, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Owen was preceded in death by his grandparents, L. David Comstock, "That Mom," "Great," and "GG." Denise is comforted by her parents Craig and Linda Dersa, her brothers, Scott and Craig, as well as by her extended family and friends. Owen was a gifted teacher, dedicated to the success of his students. He was considered the best friend of many, and his dashing smile, bright eyes, and caring soul will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, February 27, between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Green Acres Chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, Arizona.
