LUCAS, Frances E.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, March 6, 2003 Sergeant First Class Francis E. Lucas, 67, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away March 1, 2003. Born August 24, 1935 in Creston, Iowa. He was a retired Sergeant First Class and Veteran of the U.S. Army and employed by Karsten Manufacturing for 14 years. Mr. Lucas was a member of the American Legion Post #0086 in Overgaard, AZ. He received the Purple Heart (Korean Service), two Bronze Stars (Vietnam), one Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal with one Leaf Cluster Bronze Star. Survivors include his wife, Dolores (Dee) Lucas; daughters, Laura Tallbrerg, Judith Farr, Barbara Holland; sister, Joann Magli, and three grandchildren, Tonya, Kyle, and Kari. Visitation, Friday, March 7, 2003, 9:00 to 10:00 AM with funeral service follow- ing at 10:00 AM, A.L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd., Graveside services will be at 12:30 PM, at National Mem-orial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
