Felipe Angiano Salazar, 77 of Tonopah, AZ passed away at home on March 1, 2003. Born in Rodey, NM he was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII as a heavy equipment operator.
He moved to Arizona in 1972 and retired from the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant where he worked as a pipe fitter.
He was a loving husband and father. Survived by his wife Maria, two sons, Estevan and Felipe Jr., two daughters, Marta and Dora; eleven loving grandchildren (Luis, Phillip, Jimmy, Michae(deceased), Benjamin, Stephanie, Carlos, Jessica, Daniel, Gabrielle, Larry Jr.). He is also survived by two brothers, Simon Salazar, Manuel Padilla; three sisters, Cruz Castaneda, Ramona Saenz, Antonia Padilla.
He was a semi-pro baseball player, avid fisherman, hunter and reader of western novels. He enjoyed playing the guitar and wood crafting.
Felipe's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2003 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 512 N. 93rd Ave in Tolleson, AZ.
