The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 27, 2003 Karen Elaine (Karpinski) Keith, was born February 17, 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona, and passed away on February 23, 2003. Karen's great grandparent homesteaded in Tucson and her grandparents homesteaded in the Casa Grande Valley. Karen went to Longview grade school, Camelback High School and graduated with a Masters degree in Education from ASU. She taught school in the Kyrene School District for 16 years. Karen was a member of Grace Fellowship Bible Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 1, at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa. Karen is survived by her children, Kevin, Christy, and Suzanne and a granddaughter, Stella. She is also survived by a sister, Frances.
