Robert Mishler, 78 years, of Phoenix AZ passed away February 22nd with his family beside him. He was born in 1924 in Peoria, AZ to Cleon and Henrietta (Thacker) Mishler. He served his country in the Army in WWII, later attended Lavern College in California. Robert taught for 25 years at Liberty Elementary School, six miles east of Buckeye, AZ. After his retirement from teaching in 1986 he did volunteer work at a local food bank and in later years he and his wife enjoyed raising guinea pigs for show and as a hobby.
His son Robert James predeceased him as did his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce (Hilditch) Mishler, his son David Mark his daughter-in-law Laura; granddaughters, Lauren Joyce and Maquela Marguerite; his sister Jane Little; nephews, William, Robert, John and Carl Little and niece Martha Little.
Graveside service to be held at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 1st.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Valley would be appreciated.
