KNOTT, Laura L.

Laura L. Knott, age 87, of Thatcher, passed away peacefully December 12, 2009 following a brief illness. She was born November 4, 1922, in Marthaville, Louisiana, the daughter of Walter and Genevea Robinett Durr. 

Laura married O.J. Knott, Jr., February 25, 1940. Together they relocated to Morenci, Arizona in 1950, where O.J. was employed for Phelps Dodge Mining Corporation as a pipe fitter. Laura also gained work as a nurse’s aide at the Morenci Hospital. She continued her work at the hospital until retiring in 1982. 

Following her retirement, she relocated to Thatcher where she resided until her passing.
