MCALEVY, Mary J.

Mary J. McAlevy, 85, born in Chicago, IL on August 11, 1912 passed away in Tucson, AZ on May 27, 2003. Mary was the last of seven McAlevys. She and her sister Margaret came to Phoenix in 1946. They were active members of Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral when they were younger. The Don's Club, they enjoyed trips with Mary. She retired from the loan department of Valley National Bank. Survivors include one sister in law, Norma (Mrs. J.K.) McAlevy, Tucson, two nephews, Jay Kevin, Tucson, Dale Lee, Oceanside, CA, two nieces of sister Helen McAlevy Meerse, Joan (Mrs. Russel) Hatch, Carmel Valley, CA, Patricia Baron, Las Vegas, NV, three nephews of brother George McAlevy, Robert G. (McAlevy), Advance, MO, Henry, Chicago, IL, and Vincent, Arlington, VA, plus several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private. Published in the Arizona Republic on 6/2/2003.
