SOLAK, John Thomas

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, March 7, 2003 John Thomas Solak, age 21, born Aug. 1, 1981 - died March 2, 2003. John died early Sunday morning in an accident while visiting his parents in Gardnerville, NV. John was born in Vancouver, WA and moved to El Dorado County at the age of 5. He lived and attended school there until 1996, when he moved to Sacramento County. In 1999, he moved to Phoenix, AZ to attend College where he still resided at the time. John graduated from Universal Technical Institute on July 19, 2002 as a Master Mechanic and honor student with a 4.0 grade average. He had achieved all ASE certifications needed for auto, diesel, and industrial diesel. John loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved to travel, work on motors, snow-boarding, water-skiing, riding dune buggies, and motor cycles. He is survived by his parents Marty and Joyce Armstrong of Gardnerville, NV; his father Thomas Solak of Yucaipa, CA; his brother, Jason Solak and wife Dawn of Folsom, CA; two sisters Tonya Solak of Orangevale, CA and Crystal Solak of Gardnerville, NV. John was a wonderful Uncle and is survived by 2 nieces and 4 nephews. A memorial service will be held at his home in Glendale, AZ on Sunday, March 9th 2003 from 1 to 4pm.
