HOLDER, Delbert Lee (Del)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, March 8, 2003 Delbert Lee "Del" Holder, 64, of Peoria, AZ, passed away March 5, 2003. Del was born March 25, 1938 in Muskogee, OK to Robert and Gracie Mae (Harper) Holder. He was a US Navy veteran of Korea and worked as a truck driver for Frozen Food Express of Dallas, TX. He has resided in Arizona since 1991. Del was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Betty A. Holder of Peoria. Father Robert H. Holder of Peoria. Children Gene A. Holder of California, Janice L. Holder of Glendale, Robert J. Holder of Dexter, KY and Rachelle A. Swearingin of Peoria. Brother Ronald J. Holder of California. 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren including the grandchild he helped to raise, BobbieJo A. Holder and his trucking buddy, Joshua Delbert Holder. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be 3-7 PM, Monday, March 10, 2003, Menke Funeral Home. Funeral service 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Menke Funeral Home Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Interment at Sunland Memorial Park. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
