MCFARLAND, Neil B.


Neil B. McFarland died June 19, 2002 at the Arizona State Veterans Home. He was born May 5, 1925 in New Hampton, Iowa, and has been a resident of Arizona for many years. Mr. McFarland served with the US Navy during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He joined the 302nd Rescue and Recovery Squadron at Luke Air Force Base in the 60's and retired from US Air Force/Civil Service in 1985. He was a member of the Masons and a volunteer with the VA Hospital and American Red Cross. He is preceded in death by his wife Martha Louise and brother Robert. Survivors include his son Harry L. and daughter-in-law Carolee, three grandsons, six great grandchildren, brother Jim of California and two sisters Marilyn Chase of Globe and Helen Hackler of Utah. Visitation Mon June 24, 2002 at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W Thunderbird. Graveside Service Tues June 25, 2002 at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6290 W Northern.
