The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, March 9, 2003 Adeline Warner, Jan. 15, 1913 - Mar. 4, 2003. Adeline Warner passed away peacefully in Placerville, CA, her family by her side. She taught piano for seven decades on her cherished Mason & Hamlin Grand bought by her at age 16. From 1957-1990, she taught in Scottsdale, AZ -- also in Chicago, Ill., and California. She was known as "The Most Patient Piano Teacher in the West." Born in Chicago, she studied piano with several distinguished teachers. She was a longtime member/past president of AZ Music Teachers Assn., and Phoenix Piano Teachers Assn., and a member of Eastern Star. She performed at concerts, retirement homes, senior centers, churches and funeral homes. In January at home in Cameron Park, she celebrated her 90th with extended family. She is survived by her children Kathleen (Ginger) Pfeiffer, Mission Viejo, CA; Ellen Bush, Scio, Ore.; Linda Hanf McIntosh, Cameron Park, CA; Craig Warner, Durango, CO; and Martha Matak, Cave Creek, AZ., 10 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A scattering of her ashes over a body of water is pending for the springtime in the Sierra. Her gentle spirit and beautiful music are her legacy. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
