SAVILLE, James C.


James C. Saville, 84, of Scottsdale, AZ, joined our Lord June 20, 2002. A loving husband, father and grandfather, James C. Saville was born at St. Andrews in Suffolk, England on March 20, 1918. Immigrated to Canada November 21, 1924. One of eleven children, they farmed and ranched in Hardisty, Alberta where they worked hard and played hard. In 1937 James joined the "Lord Strathcona Horse Regiment" of the Canadian Army, where he attained the rank of Sergeant Major. Eight years of service including the honor of riding military guard to the Queen of England May 1939 in Calgary, Alberta. In 1958 he brought his wife Muriel, son Glen, and daughter Denise to AZ where he has resided ever since. A successful investment counselor and an honorable business man. Leaving behind two children, Glen Saville and Denise Strickland as well as three sisters, Meg, Dorreen and Kathleen and one brother William as well as eight grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 29th, 2002 at the Unity Church of Phoenix, 1500 E. Greenway Parkway, Phoenix.
