Ellen Ray Stanfield42, of Peoria, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2002. Ellen was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 25th, 1959 in Topeka, Kansas. Her parents were Douglas & Patricia Welch of Phoenix. Ellen was married to Philip Stanfield. They are the proud parents of Lindsay Vasquez, Shannon Stanfield & John Stanfield and grandparents of Savannah & Arthur Vasquez, Jr. Ellen loved the Lord and attended New Life Community Church in Peoria, AZ. She earned her degree in nursing from Mesa Comm. College & worked as a nurse at Boswell & Thunderbird Hospitals. She joined the Peoria Unified School Dist. in 1995 and worked as a school nurse at Paseo Verde Elem School. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27th at New Life Community Church, 8155 W. Thunderbird Rd, Peoria. Contributions may be made to Banner Hospice, 5555 W Thunderbird Rd, Glendale, 85306. Published in the Arizona Republic June 26, 2002.
