REED, Raymond Paul

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Monday, March 10, 2003 Raymond P. Reed, age 83, a longtime resident of Glendale, passed away March 8, 2003. Born Feb. 16, 1920 in Waukesha, WI. Ray was a WWII veteran, affectionately referred to as "Chief Speedy" by Air Force colleagues at Luke AFB and many other assignments. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after 30 years in the Air Force. An active member of the First United Methodist Church of Glendale, and a past president and dedicated member of PFLAG (Parents & Friends of Lesbians & Gays) in Phoenix. Survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Buena "Boots"; daughters, Kiki House & Kelley D'Amato; sons, Morris Floyd, Patrick Reed, Steven Floyd, & Raymond Reed II; 9 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Memorial Service will be 6:30 P.M. Thursday, March 13th at the 1st United Methodist Church of Glendale, 7102 N. 58th Drive, Glendale, AZ 85301. In lieu of flowers memorials to PFLAG, P.O.
