Floyd Everett Cureton Sr., 80 of Winslow, passed away December 16, 2009.
He was born January 1, 1929 to Floyd L. and Emma Cureton in Bloomington , TX . He grew up in Robstown, TX. Floyd worked in route sales for more than 40 years before owning and operating Route 66 Furniture and Imports on 2nd Street until his health declined and he sold. Floyd was a people person being the life of the party ready with a joke as soon as he saw you. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing.
He was one of a kind, humble, and generous. Floyd will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Gearlene, children Betty Kay Perkins (Steve), Amy Beauchamp (Jack), Erik Cureton (Mila), Celia Noble ( Dave ), and Floyd Cureton Jr. (Kim); 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, sister Edith Clarke, and brothers Thomas Cureton and Robert Cureton.
Visitation will be Tuesday 1pm at the Norvel Owens Mortuary followed by Graveside Service at 2pm at Desert View Cemetery.
