Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Maxine Tyrrell (April 17, 1928 - December 12, 2009) Maxine Eloyce Tyrrell, 81, of Flagstaff passed away at her home December 12, 2009. She was born April 17, 1928 in York, Nebraska to Mervyn and Myrdith Goldsmith. In 1962 the Tyrrell family moved to Flagstaff from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Maxine was a homemaker and neighborhood mom. She enjoyed being a swimming instructor, bowling and making crafts. Maxine was also the founder of ALANON, flagstaff chapter. She is survived by her family, Penny Tyrrell, Marsha Evans, Robb Evans, Terry Goldsmith and Betty Menze. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil Tyrrell and son Michael Tyrrell. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 18, 2009 at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66.
