TALAMINI, Oliver


Oliver Talamini, 81, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on May 31, 2003. He was born on February 3, 1922 in Garfield, NJ. Oliver was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. His entrepreneurial career spanned several arenas as General Manager of the Phoenix Stars Baseball team, co-owner and operator of the Steak House Restaurant, and distributor for GE Commercial Laundry Equipment. Oliver is survived by his loving wife Mauryne; his two daughters and their husbands, Tina & Mike Ferriera of Macintosh, NM, Lisa Talamini & Rich Teichman of Carlsbad, CA; son John Talamini also of Phoenix; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Jones & Shannon Badger & sister Dina Zagaria. To celebrate Oliver's life, a visitation will be held from 9-10 am with services at 10 am on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home Chapel, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Oliver's name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
