A10 Memorial services for William E. “Bill” Lower, age 57, who passed away Dec. 26 in Wickenburg, will be held on Thursday (Dec. 31) at 10 a.m. at Wickenburg Funeral Home. Bill was born July 9, 1952 in San Diego, Calif., to Bruce E. Lower and Marjorie Lower. He was raised in Oceanside and Vista, Calif., and attended schools there -- graduating from Vista High School in 1970. Bill was active in sports while in high school, lettering in tennis as early as his sophomore year. Following high school, Bill had the opportunity to travel with his brother Bruce. They traveled and fished commercially in Hawaii, Alaska and other locations. Bill returned to California in the late 1980s and began working for the City of Paso Robles, where he worked until 1994 when he moved to Wickenburg. He had worked for Wickenburg Tire for years until retiring for health reasons. Bill was preceded in death by his father Bruce E. Lower in 1987 and brother Bruce Jr. in 2006. He is survived by his companion Laurie Bodkin of Wickenburg; mother and step-father Marjorie and Tom Todaro of Wickenburg; daughter Shawna Pedro of Oceanside, Calif.; son William Lower of Washington; sister Linda Peraldo (Lee) of Las Vegas, Nev.; step-sister Dawn Gage of Colorado; step-brother Joe Todaro of Wickenburg; three grandchildren; niece Kimberly Peraldo; and two grandnieces.
