The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Jan 2, 2002, p. A9 Darlene L. Kile, who was born Oct. 1, 1934 and died Dec. 26, 2001, and her husband Franklin were both born in Chicago, Ill., having met at a one-room red brick schoolhouse in Arlington Heights, Ill. She was almost 9 years old, and Franklin was 10. (Little did they know they would date, fall in love, marry and have three lovely daughters and then spend the rest of the lives together). Dar went to elementary school from 1940 to 1948, then to Arlington High School until her marriage Franklin in 1942. She was 17 and Franklin was 19. (This coming May 2002 would have been their 50th wedding anniversary). The two lived in Des Plaines, Ill., for three years; Fox River Grove, Ill., for six years; and back to Arlington Heights for 33 more years until their retirement in 1994. Dar said she couldn’t retire….she would always be a homemaker. She and Franklin had three beautiful daughters – Michelle, Jocelyn and Christine – and two wonderful grandchildren – Louis and Jamie. Dar and Franklin have enjoyed the last seven years in Wickenburg, where she enjoyed swimming, traveling in the couple’s motor home, and fishing from their boat. “Darlene, you were a wonderful wife and mother. You will be dearly missed. I know we will meet again sometime, somehow, somewhere.” - Your loving husband, Franklin.
