DAWSON, Virgil Howard

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Jan 2, 2002, p. A12 Virgil Howard Dawson died Dec. 29, 2001 in Youngtown. He was 90. Mr. Dawson was born Nov. 22, 1911 in Wirt County, W.V., and had lived in Arizona for 46 years. He was the hospital engineer at Wickenburg Community Hospital until his retirement in 1987 and was a charter member of Wickenburg elks Lodge 2160. Survivors include his wife Ruby; daughters Linda Vukovick, stepsons Howard, Max, Donald and Paul Peterson; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (Jan 3) at the First Southern Baptist Church, 360 W. Yavapai, in Wickenburg.
