The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Feb. 20, 2002, p. A22 Richard O. Garcia of Glendale, and a former Wickenburg resident, died Jan. 30 in Glendale. He was 77. Mr. Garcia was born Sept. 15, 1924 in Superior. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, and a sheriff's deputy and criminal investigator for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, retiring in 1985. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann; daughters Christine Garcia, Kathy Bennett and Carol McDonald; sons Gary, Richard, Gilbert, Louis and Mike; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Ann Garcia. Services have been held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 W. Flower St., Phoenix, Ariz. 85014.
