ALLIE, Francis

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 6, 2002, p. A7 Francis Allie, a former Wickenburg resident, died Feb. 28 in Gilbert. He was 89. Mr. Allie was born in 1913 in Lena, Wisc., and moved to Arizona from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 1941. He lived in Wickenburg from 1941 until 1952, driving the bus to the Wickenburg Glider Field. He was also a fireman at Luke Field during World War II. He was a homebuilder in Prescott for many years. Mr. Allie was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Eva, and a daughter, Peggy. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Gloria of Wickenburg and Richard and Jennifer of Queen Creek; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Services have been held.
