Carmen Gutierrez Bernal, 64, of Casa Grande, died March 28, 2002, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will be Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. Wednesday. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. in Valley of the Sun Memorial Park in Chandler.
Mrs. Bernal was born March 16, 1938 in Chandler to Jesus and Carmen Gutierrez.
She owned and operated an antique business, Carmen Traders Delight. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a loving and caring person, active in the community and helping people. She was devoted to her family and was an excellent cook. She loved bowling and softball.
Survivors include her husband, Ramon; three daughters, Cynthia Mashore and Sabrina Bernal of Casa Grande and Felicia Bernal of Scottsdale; two sons, Richard Hernandez of Arvin, Calif., and Steve Hernandez of Casa Grande; seven sisters, Lola Turnbloom of Washington, Sarah Ochoa of California, Virginia Illnicky of Arizona, Dora Lopez of Casa Grande, Frances Guzman of Washington, Christina Ochoa of Tucson and Stella Ward of California; a brother, Ernest Gutierrez of Casa Grande; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Torres, and a brother, George Gutierrez.
