The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 8, 2002, p. A18 Myrtle Ruth Cunningham, 81, of Wickenburg passed away at home on April 26, 2002. Myrtle was born in Rector, Ark., on Dec. 15, 1920. She is survived by her husband Bill; daughters Linda (Pete) Test and Holly (Jay) Wurtele; sons Craig (Linda) Rice, John Rice, and Bill Cunningham III; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; six brothers, and three sisters. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents Myrtle and Arthur Robertson; two sisters, one brother; and three grandchildren. In 1938, Myrtle married Harold Rice in St. Louis, Mo. Together they had four children -- Linda, Holly, Craig and John. In October of 1952, Myrtle married William Cunningham Jr. in Santa Fe, N.M. Myrtle and Bill moved to Prescott in 1956 and had one child, William III. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker. She completed a junior college class in Navajo weaving, and beaded flowers. She was given the gift to create exquisite crafts, which she shared with friends and family. We pray that her eternal life in heaven be a blissful journey. Our love for you is everlasting. A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Church of the White Spire, 1407 North 2nd St. in Phoenix. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
