The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 10, 2002, p. 20 Opal R. Ludwig, part-time resident of Wickenburg, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at her home in Bayfield, Colo. She was 73. Funeral services were conducted Saturday (July 6) at the Pine River Cemetery in Colorado, with Gene Chapin of Church of Christ in Bayfield officiating. Mrs. Ludwig was born Oct. 22, 1928 in Pagosa Springs, Colo. She married Frank Ludwig Jr. on Dec. 31, 1949 in Pagosa Springs. She was preceded in death by her father Raymond Murray and son Preston Ludwig. She is survived by her husband Junior Ludwig, son Murray Ludwig of Bayfield, sister Madelyn Daly of Grand Junction, Colo; mother Blanche Murray of Bayfield; granddaughter Mekesha Machart of Arlington, Texas; grandson Chad Ludwig of Houston, Texas; and great-grandson Adam Machart of Arlington.
