COOK, Lori Ann

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 31, 2002, p. A18 Lori Ann Cook, 31, of Phoenix passed away on July 26. She was taken from this earth while doing what she loved most: riding her Harley. Lori was born in California on Feb. 26, 1971 and relocated with her family to Phoenix in 1978. She graduated from Goldwater High School in 1989 and worked in the catering industry until 1998, at which time she began her career as a letter carrier in Sun City. Lori was an insightful gardener and respectful of all God's creatures, great and small. She was a key member of a family in which love abounds. Among those who will forever grieve her loss are her parents Leonita and Donald Cook of Glendale; sisters Darla Cook, Pamela Cook and Debbie Bacher of Phoenix; brother William Cook and sister-in-law Candice Cook of Wickenburg; grandmothers Agnes Sadauskas and Glenna Rich of Phoenix; uncles Harold Cole of Phoenix and Ronald Rich of Newbury Park, Calif., and Karen, Donna, Sandra, Rhonda James and Glen Lind of Manchester, N.H.; and nieces Rachel and Kaitlyn Cook of Wickenburg. Lori ("Dork") Cook will be missed by niece Kimberly ("Dweeb") Cook of Phoenix. Lori's boundless love overflowed into her extended family, the members of which are Michael Pinkerton of Glendale, Michael's son Chris, also of Glendale, and "Cat" and "JJ" Jordan of Phoenix. Additionally, Lori leaves behind many friends from the Choirboys Motorcycle Club and the U.S. Postal Service. A memorial service for this cherished and beloved child of God will be held at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 31) at the Chapel of the Chimes in Glendale. At a later date and with her family looking on, Lori's ashes will be set free by her biker friends along the ride they know she loves the best. Darla Cook will ride in that joyous procession. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lori Cook's name to the Arizona Humane Society. "Until I see you again little sister. I will miss you and I will always love you. - Bill"
