Shirley McKay, 66, died peacefully in her home in Phoenix after a battle with cancer, on July 26. She had lived there for the past four years.
Born in Hartman, Colo., Shirley grew up in San Fernando, Calif., raised her family in Sepulveda, Calif. And in Medfield, Mass., and retired with her husband to Aguila, Ariz.
Her twinkling eyes and sacrificial love will be missed by her family and many friends.
Her husband of 36 years, Charles McKay, and her sister, Sharon Pearson, preceded Shirley in death.
She is survived by her parents, Virgil and Opal Robbins of San Fernando, Calif.; her brother, Cary Robbins; her children, Charles, Sherrill, Sandy (Clough) and Sheila; and seven grandchildren, David, Peter and Jennifer McKay, McKayla and Alaina Watkins, and Jake and Sienna Clough.
Funeral services were held Aug. 2 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary in Newhall, Calif.
