B7 Mary Lynn Hula Funeral services for Mary Lynn Hula were scheduled for Tuesday Nov. 5 at the First United Methodist Church of Brawley, Calif. Interment was at the Riverview Cemetery in Brawley. Pastor Dave Conrad and pastor Nelson Castorillo officiated. Casket bearers were Toby Iversen, Lou Olsen, Steven Boe, Severin Boe, Dwayne Martin, Zachery Martin. Lynn was born July 26, 1934 in Alva, Okla. to James and Naomi Callaway and passed from this life Oct. 29 in Hospice Care Center, Sun City West, Ariz. Lynn was raised in Quinlin, Okla. and graduated from Quinlin High School in 1952. After graduation Lynn attended business school in Omaha, Neb. Lynn made her home in South Dakota prior to moving to Wichita, Kan. with her son, Darrell, in 1956. On April 12, 1958 Lynn married Joseph Hula. They lived in Wichita until moving to Medford, Okla. in 1960 where they raised their two sons, Darrell and John. In 1989 Lynn and Joe moved to Arizona. They made their home in Wickenburg, Ariz. Lynn was an entrepreneur and had many careers during her life. She especially enjoyed selling insurance with her partner and dear friend, Mary Sue Ziba. Most recently she was employed by the AmericInn Motel in Wickenburg and spent her holidays helping her sister, Yvetta, in her flower shop. However, her ultimate joy in life came from being a grandmother to her two granddaughters, Tori and Tiffany, who referred to her as "Grandma Sunshine." Lynn is survived by her husband, Joseph; two sons, Darrell Hints of Medford, Okla.; John and wife Laura; two granddaughters, Tori Nichole and Tiffany D'Nai Hula of Brawley; Naomi Callaway, mother, Wickenburg; J.D. and Kay Callaway, brother, Brookshire, Texas; Kay Boe, sister, Pierre, S.D.; Toby and Yvetta Iversen, sister, Wickenburg; numerous nieces, nephews family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father James Gorman Callaway.
