Virgil A. Stone, 68, passed away Nov. 17 in Peoria, Ariz. Virgil was born March 13, 1934 in Bloomington, Indiana and moved to Arizona in 1977.
Virgil and wife Charlotte lived in Wickenburg for 17 years. He was a jeweler by profession, but was a man of many talents. He was a deeply religious man and always tried to help those in need. He loved the People of Wickenburg; the family gives their thanks to the people of Wickenburg for their kindness over the years.
Virgil is survived by his wife Charlotte; four children Vern Stone, Oklahoma, Sandra Stone, Indiana; three step sons Bill, John and Dean Welcher, Indiana; One brother Robert Stone, Louisiana; two sisters Wilma Jean Grant and Laura Fara, Arizona; five half brothers and sisters, Indiana; granddaughter Tara Ashley Stone and 23 other grandchildren, many niece and nephew.
He is preceded in death by parents Alvis and Edna Stone; son Duane Stone; brothers James Stone, Lester, Wendall Stone and Paul Stone.
Visitation scheduled for Nov. 20 at 11 a.m., with a service at 1 p.m. at Frey Funeral Home, 980 N. Tegner in Wickenburg.
