Texas Woman if Traffic Fatality
Arizona’s seventh traffic fatality of the Christmas weekend and the 499th in the state to December 27th occurred in mid afternoon Monday on Highway 60-70 about 2 miles west of Salome. Killed was Mrs. Janie Franklin, 45, of Houston, Texas. Injured in the same accident were Bessie Potter, 50, also of Houston, and Mr. & Mrs. Warner Harmon and son gene Albert, 15, of Banning, Calif. The injured were admitted to Community Hospital here.
According to highway patrolmen, Mrs. Franklin was a passenger in a car driven by Mrs. Potter which swerved across the center line and crashed into a car driven by Mrs. Harmon, 49. Mr. Harmon, 55, and their son were passengers in the latter car.
The body of Mrs. Franklin was shipped to Houston for services and burial.
