Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 31, 1996, p.A2 Dorothy Dibble of Wickenburg, died July 27 in Wickenburg. She was 83. Mrs. Dibble was born Aug. 1, 1912 in Champion, Mich. She had lived in Arizona for the past 12 years, coming from Michigan. Mrs. Dibble died after battling the results of a major stroke, suffered in early March. Mrs. Dibble was a 1934 graduate of the University of Michigan. She was active in many campus activities, besides being president of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority her senior year. Following graduation she was employed as secretary to the head librarian of the Detroit Downtown Public Library. She was an active skier and sailor for some 40 years, plus 11 years riding at the Flying E Ranch. Mrs. Dibble was a member of the ladies P.E.O. Club, the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, the First Presbyterian Church, the Pontiac Yacht club, and the Otsego Ski Club. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Samuel L. Dibble of Wickenburg; daughter Edyth Doran of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; and son Samuel L. Dibble, Jr. of Plymouth, Mich. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-3:30 today (Wednesday) at Frey Funeral Home. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg, Pastor James Longstreet will officiate. Burial will be in Plymouth, Mich. later this week. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
