Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 3, 1996, p.A2 Lois Adams Jones of Wickenburg died June 29 in Wickenburg. She was 79. Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 2, 1916 in Slippery Rock, Penn. She had lived in Arizona for the past 23 years, coming from Pennsylvania. Mrs. Jones was an English teacher and a full-time mother. She believed that teaching and learning are one and the same. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge and loved the beauty of nature. Survivors include two sons, Les Jones of Conifer, Colo. and Greg Jones of Priest River, Idaho; sister Sarah and Kathleen; brother Dale, Clair and Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Jones in August 1993. Services were held Tuesday, July 2 at Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor Ed Wessling officiated.
