Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona February 21, 1996, p. A2 Louis George Bartlett, of Congress, died Feb 17 in Wickenburg. He was 64. Mr. Bartlett was born Jan 19, 1932 in Fall river, Mass. He had lived in Arizona for 10 years, coming here from California. Mr. Bartlett was a member of the American Legion, was a veteran of the French Foreign Legion, and served in Korea with the Canadian Armed forces. He worked as a mechanic in various service stations around Wickenburg, and most recently at the Gun Trader in Wickenburg. Mr. Bartlett’s hobbies include guns, especially military guns, and war history. He was an avid rockhound and desert rat. He is survived by his sons Clark Ashby of Poway, Calif. Claude Ashby of Peeples Valley, Kenneth Ashby of Congress, and Raymond and Richard Harris, both of Peeples Valley; sister Rose Farrell of Canada; brother Fred Bartlett of Canada; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 1992. Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb 22 from 4 from 7p.m. at Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment will be Sunday, Feb 25 at 10 a.m. in the Congress Cemetery Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of all arrangements.
