Evergreen Mortuary Tucson, Arizona Charlotte G. Kendis, 91, of Tucson, died December 28, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy D. Kendis and is survived by her grandson Philip Kendis of NY; son Kurt Kendis of PA; and 1 niece and 2 nephews. Mrs. Kendis served as a board member at Handmaker’s Jewish Services for the Aging, the Educational Enrichment Foundation and her local homeowner’s association. She was an active philanthropist and volunteer, supporting many community organizations dear to her. She will also be remembered for her marvelous wit. A special thank you is extended to her wonderful caregivers and friends, Lupita Doe, Kulaea Naber and David Tobak. Graveside Services Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 3:00 PM, Temple Emanuel Section of Evergreen Cemetery, with Rabbi Samuel Cohon officiating.
