Evergreen Mortuary, Tucson, Arizona Ruth Olive Holbrook, 88, recently of Mesa, long time Tucson resident passed away in Mesa on December 8, 2009. She was born in Sac City, IA, daughter of the Harry and Hazel (Blakesslee) Judd. She moved her family to Tucson over 50 years ago. She and her husband established a printing business together. Ruth loved animals, especially her horses. She was a keen explorer who, with her family visited many ghost town sites in So. Arizona. She was interested in arts and crafts and had a great knowledge of Indian jewelry and artifacts. Ruth was a caring and loving mother to her daughters, Delores (Jim) Sutter of Tucson, Janet (Don) Draper of San Bernardino, CA, and Fredette (Ken) Forbes of Mesa, AZ. She was the proud grandmother of Ty (Cindy) Sutter, Yancey Holbrook, Denver (Vickie) Draper, Ruth Ann (Danny) Berry, Scott (Janice) Forbes and Brian Forbes; great grandchildren, Devin and Buddy, Draper, Brianna and Colton Berry, Kenny Forbes, Brittanie (Brandon) Nichols, Sydney, Brooklyn and Adin Forbes and Alyssa Forbes. She leaves a great great grandson, Caleb Nichols. She leaves a niece, Julianne (Bob) Jones, nephews, Robert “Bobby” (Linda) Holbrook, Gary (Betty) Gunderson, and Gary (Gerry) Judd and Michael Judd. A graveside service will be held on 2 PM, Friday, December 18, 2009 in EVERGREEN CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.
