Alice O. Hurst (Jensen), 83, of Mesa, Arizona passed away in Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday May 24, 2003. Alice was born on February 18, 1920 to Andrew and Zula Jensen of Kanaranzi Village near Ellsworth, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by Forest Pal (first husband), Luverne, Minnesota, and Webster M. Hurst (second husband), Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, sisters, Winnifred Wessels, Bettye Olson, Lucinda Ecker and brother Neil Jensen.
She left Minnesota to join the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) during World War II serving in Miami and Cincinnati. Following the War she returned to Luverne to marry Forest Prahl. Upon his death she began a career with Northwest Airlines stationed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she met Webster Hurst, married and moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Upon his retirement they moved to Mesa, Arizona where they have resided since 1974.
Alice will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Bertel (Irene) Jensen, Luverne, Minnesota, Roger (Gerri) Jensen of Slayton, Minnesota, sister-in-law Jane (Neil) Jensen, Richfield, Minnesota; sons Davey Hurst, Kaukauna, Wisconsin and Timm Hurst, Lexington, Kentucky and three grandchildren and four great-grandsons.
Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Luverne, Minnesota.
