Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, July 30, 1948 SIXTEEN YEAR OLD MARVIN GRAY DIES AFTER SWIM MISHAP Funeral services, and burial, were held in Prescott Saturday July 17, for Marvin Gray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gray of Bagdad, who died July 14 following a swimming accident. On a swimming party at Granite Dells, Marvin, who would have been 16 years old in November, apparently lost his footing and fell into the pool hitting the back of his neck. He was rushed to Community Hospital, Prescott, where he passed away approximately 30 hours following the accident, which occurred July 12. He was born in Wickenburg but lived most of his life and attended school in Bagdad. Besides his parents he is survived by 3 brothers, Robert, Charles and Dick, and a sister, Katheryn. He was a grandson of A. G. Walker, superintendent of the Arizona Highway Patrol, and a nephew of Mrs. Roy George of Wickenburg.
