The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, March 11, 2003 Margaret Louise Wardlaw Pulsifer, 64, born September 21, 1938 in Safford, Arizona returned to her heavenly home on March 8, 2003 after a long battle with cancer. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, sister, friend, teacher, and servant of our Heavenly Father. She was born and raised in Safford, Arizona. After high school, she left Safford and came to Tempe to attend Arizona State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She started her teaching career in Southern California and promptly decided to pursue Graduate School at San Francisco State University. She earned a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Visual Impairment. She married Carl C. Pulsifer on November 11, 1966 in Safford, Arizona. They were sealed in the Arizona Temple on July 19, 1975. They resided in Phoenix until 1973 when they moved with their 3 children to Yuma, Arizona. Margaret enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and while in Yuma added a 4th child to her family. She has resided in Mesa with her husband and children since 1979. In December 1999, she retired from the Scottsdale School Disrict where she had taught for 25 1/2 years. Margaret touched the hearts of all who crossed her path. Her influence has been far reaching and all who know and love Margaret will truly miss her. Margaret is survived by her husband, Carl of Mesa, son, Marc (Christi) of Chandler, daughters Regan of Mesa, Ann (Ryan) Poulson of Chandler, and Sarah (James) Slavinsky of Chandler. Brother, Bob (Eleanore) Wardlaw of Scottsdale, sister-in-law, Ruth Wardlaw of Ruidoso, New Mexico; six grandchildren, Abigail, Joshua, Amelia and Rachel Pulsifer, Benjamin Poulson; and Elizabeth Slavinsky, all of Chandler. She is preceeded in death by her parents, A. Baker & Louise Wardlaw, and brother Richard Wardlaw. Services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2003 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Westwood Building 848 North Westwood, Mesa Arizona at 10:00 a.m. with a viewing one-hour prior. A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Bunker Family Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way.
